RFQ for Environmental Consulting Services for RPC’s Brownfields Assessment Program

RPCGB’s Department of Economic Development requests written responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the selection of an environmental consulting firm to assist with execution of its Brownfields program. 

RPCGB is preparing an EPA Brownfields Coalition Assessment application to expand brownfields work across the region. RPCGB has identified a team of coalition partners and a list of target properties/geographies areas and is seeking a qualified consulting firm to support this work.

RFP Released: November 25, 2025

Questions due in writing: December 22, 2025 by 5pm CST to kkraft@rpcgb.org

Proposals due: 4:00pm CST on December 29, 2025. Submissions may be emailed (one pdf file) or hand delivered (2 hard copies). 


RFP for Birmingham MPO Regional Freight Plan Update

The RPCGB on behalf of the Birmingham Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is seeking qualified firms or teams of firms (“Consultants”) to prepare a Regional Freight Plan Update for the Birmingham Metropolitan Planning Area.

The primary purpose of the Birmingham Regional Freight Plan Update is to identify systemwide transportation needs to better accommodate freight mobility and logistics needs and, as a result, strengthen the overall competitiveness of the Birmingham region.

The RPCGB invites qualified professional planning Consultants/Firms or consultant teams having expertise in the following areas: 

  • Transit planning- DR requirements for RPCGB and/or FTA 5310 program management activities

  • Management of FTA 5310 Program

  • Title VI/DBE Reporting

  • Experience working with transit providers and utilizing the TrAMs software

  • Managing FTA 5310 awards with local nonprofit organizations
